Always Use an EXPERT

I posted on the Foreclosure Report... an article from one of the smartest and most knowledgeable short sale experts I know, David Petrovich of Oakhurst, NJ.  David had an interesting take on the current state of real estate professionals.  I cannot agree with him more. His writing was aimed towards the homeowner facing foreclosure and the importance of using a professional who extensive experience in dealing with a short sale.  

What goes for them, also applies to the other side of the coin, the buyer of the short sale property.

Since all agents are having a hard time right now the obvious solution would be to follow the "action".  So we're  seeing quite a few Professional Agents, who are switching gears right now.  While they know plenty abut the purchase and selling side of a transaction - the short sale is a vastly different animal. 

Working with a professional agent who is just entering this arena of short sales could cost you. 

Suzy "Sells Homes" Smith might have her signs up all over the neighborhood.  She might have sold you your home.  She might even have her commercial going before the previews at the movie theater.  Suzie might be bigger than life, but using Suzie for your Short Sale might cost you your one chance at completing the transaction on that short sale.

Always work with a Professional Real Estate Agent that has extensive Short Sale Experience.
