Many times I am asked why this site exists.

I was personally struck by two separate incidents over the course of 3 days.
One in which a person lost over 1 million in equity from a refinance scam, legally engineered by a local licensed agent.
The other, an elderly lady who's entire real estate portfolio (and retirement) was heading into foreclosure because of unethical financing.
The "Empathy Gene" is dominant, not recessive in me. I blame my Fathers DNA and my following the path.

Both incidents, and so many more, could have been avoided by an educated consumer.
I believe the key is getting that education to the consumer, and that's also the hardest part.
I have been a daily blogger since early 2001. I believe in the undeniable power of blogging.
